Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions from shareholders and prospective investors about Plaid Technologies, our technology, and our public listing.

Shareholder Questions

Company and Technology

Plaid Technologies develops graphene engineered solutions, specializing in high-volume graphene for industrial applications. Our proprietary methodologies are designed to improve strength, conductivity, and durability of various materials. Key focus areas include graphene-infused cement and concrete, oil and gas well remediation, optical applications, and aerospace technologies.

Plaid Technologies is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol STIF, on the OTC Markets as STIFF, and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as 5QX0.

Plaid Technologies recently appointed Shawn Babcock as Chief Operating Officer in January 2026 and Dr. Ian Flint as Technical Advisor in February 2026 to support commercialization of graphene technologies.

Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a two-dimensional hexagonal lattice. It is reported in academic literature to be one of the strongest, lightest, and most electrically conductive materials ever discovered, with tensile strength reported to be up to 200 times greater than steel under specific conditions.

Plaid Technologies is an early-stage materials company. We have completed internal testing of our graphene-infused concrete formulations, developed our prepared additive technology, and initiated field testing with oil and gas operator Petro Flow.

Technology and Products

Graphene-infused concrete is a construction material that incorporates graphene as an additive to conventional concrete mixes. Our internal testing suggests this formulation may demonstrate up to 25% greater compressive strength and improved water resistance compared to conventional mixes.

Graphene-infused concrete is being developed with the potential to reduce Portland cement content while maintaining or improving structural performance. Since cement production is a significant source of industrial carbon emissions, reducing cement requirements may contribute to a lower carbon footprint.

Plaid's prepared additive technology is a pre-formulated graphene additive designed for straightforward integration into existing cement and concrete mixing processes.

Plaid is targeting four primary markets: oil and gas infrastructure including well plugging and remediation, construction and building materials, optical use cases, and aerospace technologies.

Plaid Technologies has shipped proprietary graphene to Petro Flow ahead of initial U.S. well plugging field tests. This represents the first active field deployment of Plaid's graphene additive technology in an oil and gas application.
